We are pleased to announce the 2005 GO Users Meeting for those using, or interested in, the Gene Ontology project. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the MGED 8 meeting in Bergen, Norway, and will take place on 14 - 15 September, 2005.

The GO Users meeting provides an opportunity for anyone using GO terms or annotations to report on your use of GO, to review the GO project goals and procedures, to hear about the incorporation of GO into various annotation pipelines, and to meet with GO Consortium members, other developers and users of GO. The meeting will include posters and oral presentations from GO Consortium members and GO users.
Date and time: 14 September (afternoon) and 15 September (morning), 2005
Location: University of Bergen, in conjunction with the MGED 8 meeting, Bergen, Norway.
Registration fee: There is no fee for this meeting.
Registration deadline: Please register by 21 August 2005, although we will accommodate late registrants if space permits. (Note: if you are also registering for MGED 8, please see the MGED registration site for information on early bird rates and cancellation deadlines.)

Updated September 1, 2005: A provisional program is now available. The program includes several talks and two sessions combining posters and software demonstrations. The meeting begins with lunch on Wednesday, September 14, and ends at noon on Thursday, September 15 (lunch is not included on Sept. 15). Participants who have not registered for MGED8 may collect advance registration materials before lunch on Sept. 14. Please note that this program is subject to change.
