GO Users Meeting - January 15th, 2004 - Stanford University, Stanford, CA

General Information and Registration

The GO Users Meeting is an open forum for anyone interested in the Gene Ontology (GO) project. This meeting provides the opportunity to users of the GO and to developers of GO-related analysis and visualization tools to share their research with each other and with members of the GO Consortium. This meeting is sponsored by the GO Consortium, many of whom will be attending.

The Users Meeting will occur on the Stanford University campus Thursday January 15th at the McCaw Hall, Arrillaga Alumni Center, 326 Galvez Street. This meeting is scheduled to start at 8.30AM and end around 5:00PM. A block of rooms are available for participants of the GO Users Meeting at the SLAC Guest House. The Guest House room rates are low for the Palo Alto area. For more information on travel and parking see below. A fee of $30 will be collected from all participants of the Users Meeting to cover the cost of food and beverages, a buffet lunch will be provided.

We acknowledge the support from Incyte Corporation via a gift to the Saccharomyces Genome Database. This allows us to afford the great space available at the Alumni Center.

  Parking:
  If you are driving to the meeting, please park at the Visitors Parking next to the "Track House" on the NE side of the Campus Drive & Galvez intersection. This parking lot is located right across from the Alumni center. You can locate this parking lot on the campus map. The Alumni Center is at F10 on the map and the Visitor Parking is at E11. Parking is $1.50 per hour and you pay in advance with cash or credit card at the machine labeled "Pay Here". Sorry there are not a lot of options for visitor parking around campus. Parking is free on Saturday. You can also take the Marguerite from the Palo Alto or California Avenue CalTrain stops. Some of the local hotels provide shuttle service to campus if you ask.
  Travel:
  There are two airports close to Stanford University: The San Francisco International Airport is about 25 miles north of Stanford while the San Jose International Airport is approximately 20 miles south of Stanford.
